Weekly Development Log 2

The main idea of the game is to avoid running out of time. to do so, players will need to collect the clock to add time to the timer. If the timer reaches 0s, it will be game over.

At the start of the match, all possible spawn locations will be filled with clocks. Players will have 30 seconds to collect as many clocks as they can. At this point and during this stage of the match only, all clocks are worth 5 seconds.

Once the time is up, the clocks will start spawning two at a time. At this point in the match and the rest of the match, the clock will give players a random amount of time between -30 and 30 seconds. The player will need to pay attention to the glow around each clock which will only be visible for a couple of milliseconds. This glow will let players know which clock is positive and which is negative. Red being positive and blue being negative.

Sometimes a third clock will appear next to the other two. This means that a PowerUp Clock has been generated. If players decide to pick it up, it will trigger one of three possible PowerUps. If players pick up a normal clock with the PowerUp Clock on the map, it will disappear and players will have to wait until it reappears. Each PowerUp will last for 15 seconds.

One of the possible PowerUp that players can get is called Speed Boost, which like its name says will increase players speed.

Another PowerUp that players can is called Time Multiplier. This one will double the amount of time that players can get even though a negative clock got collected.

Last but not least, the third PowerUp clock that players can get is called Hourglass. This will stop the timer for 15 seconds. On top of that, if players activate any of the PowerUps, a new character will appear in the match named Roxy. She will start stealing player's watches so be careful with her.
